This fair trade necklace is made with upcycled bone pendant beads. The bone was originally obtained from an Indian government-run bone market. The market sources this material as by-products from farms, restaurants, and slaughterhouses throughout the region (the bone is mainly from water buffalo). Each pendant has then been shaped and sanded. The approximately 1.5" wide pendant is free moving on a 18" sterling silver chain.
